Landing pages are essential in converting website traffic into prospects for your business.  Whether used in conjunction with a Google Adwords advertising campaign or in organic search queries, here are three main reasons why your business needs landing pages.

  1. More Likely to Convert
    When a prospect is researching a topic – say Veteran Home Loans – and they click on a search query that states “Home Loans for Veterans” and it takes them to a generic home mortgage website, the prospect is likely to leave the site. Yet, if they “land” on a page that talks specifically to veterans about home loans for them, they are more likely to leave their information for you to contact.
  2. Landing Pages are Your Digital Sales Rep
    Landing pages collect information about your potential customer 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This allows you to build a relationship with your lead without the expense of a hired sales rep.
  3. Your Costs for PPC Advertising will be Less
    When the advertisement you’re running on Google Adwords is relevant to the landing page (the page on your website that the ad is about) your cost per pay-per-click goes down.

The more quality landing pages you have on your website, the more opportunities you have to convert.  If you’re a real estate agent your website should have landing page topics for First Time Home Buyers, Getting the Most Money for Your Home or any other topic that you specialize in.  Attorneys should have a landing page for each specialty of their practice; Family Law should have a landing page for Divorce, one for Child Custody, one for Abuse and so on.
